Community Guidelines

Effective 18 October 2026

Noverie is operated by Dreamread Technology Limited. Reviews and chapter comments are where readers share what they thought of a book. These guidelines explain how to take part and what we do about posts that break them. They spell out how sections 6 (Acceptable use) and 7 (Content you contribute) of our Terms of Service apply to reviews and comments; if the two ever differ, the Terms of Service prevail.

1. Be kind

Criticise the book, not the people: don’t insult, mock, threaten or harass authors, translators or other readers, and don’t pick fights. Don’t pretend to be someone else, or to speak for Noverie or our editors.

2. Spoilers

If a review gives away key plot points, the ending or a twist, tick “Contains spoilers” — other readers then tap to reveal it. Unmarked spoilers may be hidden. Chapter comments are shown only to readers who have reached that chapter, so talk about the chapter freely, but don’t give away what happens later.

3. No spam or advertising

Don’t post ads, promotions or repeated messages, and don’t leave contact details (messaging IDs, group numbers and the like) to draw people elsewhere. Don’t post links to pirated copies or “free full text” sites. Reviews and comments that contain a link (including a web or email address) are checked first and appear to other readers once approved.

4. Nothing unlawful or inappropriate

No sexual or vulgar content, whatever the book’s own rating. No hate or discrimination based on race, ethnicity, religion, gender, sexual orientation, disability or similar characteristics. Nothing unlawful, and nothing that infringes anyone’s rights.

5. Respect the books and people’s privacy

Don’t copy long passages of a book; quoting a line or two to discuss it is fine. Don’t share personal information about yourself or anyone else, such as real names, phone numbers, addresses or ID numbers. Your reviews and comments appear publicly with your display name (chapter comments only to readers of that chapter), so think before you post.

6. Reporting

If a review or comment breaks these guidelines, tap “Report” and choose a reason. We never tell the writer who reported it. Once three different accounts have reported the same post, it is hidden automatically until a moderator reviews it. Please don’t report in bad faith.

7. How we moderate

Reviews and comments go live as soon as they are posted (except those with links, see section 3); we act on reports and check what is posted. We may restore, hide or remove reviews and comments; a hidden post is visible only to the person who wrote it. An account that breaks these guidelines may be muted for 1, 7 or 30 days, or until we lift it: while muted it can’t post reviews or comments, edit its reviews or change its display name, but it can still read, like, report and delete its own posts, and a mute doesn’t hide its earlier posts. For serious or repeated breaches we may suspend or close the account under the Terms of Service. If you think we got it wrong, contact us.

8. Changes

We may update these guidelines. The current version is always on this page, with its effective date.
