Synopsis
Five daughters. An estate they cannot inherit. A mother determined to marry them well. Elizabeth Bennet has other plans: she refuses to trade her future for a comfortable life without love.
When wealthy Mr. Bingley arrives in the neighbourhood, her sister Jane finds romance. Elizabeth finds Mr. Darcy: rich, aloof, and far too sure of himself. His careless insult earns her contempt; a charming officer's story turns it into conviction.
Then Bingley leaves, Jane is heartbroken, and Darcy makes an astonishing proposal. His declaration sounds more like an insult than a promise. Elizabeth refuses him. The next morning, a letter unsettles everything she believed.
An unexpected reunion offers a glimpse of another Darcy. But her youngest sister's elopement threatens the whole family, just as Elizabeth begins to question her own heart. With scandal closing in and class standing between them, can two people so certain of their judgments risk admitting they were wrong?
