Synopsis
A dead sailor. A hidden map. An island full of gold.
When young Jim Hawkins escapes his family's inn with a pirate's papers, he carries the key to Captain Flint's buried fortune. Soon he is sailing aboard the Hispaniola, drawn to the warmth of its one-legged cook, Long John Silver.
One night, hidden in an apple barrel, Jim hears Silver planning mutiny. The island is already in sight.
Ashore, Jim encounters a marooned sailor with a secret. Gunfire tears through the trees as the crew splits into enemies. With his friends sheltering in a stockade and their only way home lying at anchor, every move could save them—or deliver them to the pirates.
Silver is a killer. Yet once Jim is trapped in the pirates' camp, the cook may be the only man who can protect him.
As the treasure hunters close on the spot marked on the map, Jim must decide whose word to trust—and what a promise is worth when keeping it could cost him his life.
