Synopsis
Beneath the splendor of Song China, justice is for sale. A framed officer watches his old life burn. A soldier kills a bully to save a father and daughter. A tiger-slayer cannot protect his own brother.
Driven beyond the law, Lin Chong, Lu Zhishen and Wu Song follow different roads to Liangshan Marsh. There, Song Jiang, the fierce Li Kui and a growing band of outlaws turn refuge into rebellion. One hundred and eight men and women gather beneath a banner of Heaven's justice. They are neither innocent nor united in everything. But they will face an army for one another.
As imperial fleets burn and their victories mount, the court offers what force could not secure: amnesty. Song Jiang sees a chance to clear their names. Others see surrender to the very men who destroyed their lives.
They leave the marsh to fight for the throne. Cities fall. Friends do not return. And the brothers who survived the battlefield must still reckon with enemies who never draw a sword.
